Staying at La Tica Y La Gata was a delight. The outdoor kitchen and living area let us enjoy the natural surroundings, and encountering a sloth right outside our door was a magical experience.

absolutely stunning surroundings, but the walk to the main road was absurdly far. I almost gave this place a good review, but I expected a complimentary gesture in return for such inconveniences, which I never received. So disappointing!

Couples looking for tranquility
Our apartment was spacious with air-con that worked perfectly, especially during those hot days. Stella, the owner, was friendly and helped us find the best local restaurants, really made our nights special.
The price was a bit on the higher side but still acceptable considering the experience.

Nice outdoor kitchen, large fridge, excellent wifi
The bumpy, Stoney dirt road to town is a major hassle!!! The open design of the living area invites monkeys to snatch your food, creating security issues. Bathroom cleanliness near the pool deserves more attention!!!

la tica y la gata was a lovely place to stay! the staff were super friendly and helped us out a lot, especially when our shuttle was uncertain. the pool area was charming with fairy lights, and we enjoyed seeing howler monkeys and various birds around. it felt like being in the heart of nature yet still close enough to walk to the center. the room was clean, spacious, and modern, with a nice terrace to relax on.
would recommend.

I loved waking up to the sounds of birds and howler monkeys. The outdoor kitchen set-up worked well for us, allowing for different AC settings. The staff helped us arrange tuk tuks easily during our stay, making our days seamless. One magical moment occurred when a sloth appeared right outside our door, which was quite memorable.
The walk to the main road was on a dark unpaved road, which some might find alarming.
